Explore Český Krumlov in Czech Republic
I never imagined going to the Czech Republic. But, the opportunity presented itself when I was on a Christmas Markets river cruise with AMAWaterways. So, it was a no-brainer for me to add this country to my list. But, the visit was for a special town called Český Krumlov. According to legend, the name Krumlov is derived from the German "Krumme Aue", which may be translated as "crooked meadow". The name comes from the natural topography of the town, specifically from the tightly crooked meander of the Vltava river.
This is the travelogue of my visit, along with a legend I discovered about the love story of a nobleman’s son and a gypsy girl.
